While no toy can be deemed completely safe for every bird, we emphasize thorough inspection before introducing any new accessories or toys. Check for quality issues such as:
- Check for rust or peeling on hardware and remove or stop use of these items
- Make sure that the hardware being used is appropriate for the size of bird
- Ensure there are no sharp parts or leftover materials and examine cords and ropes to help prevent entanglement
- Do not have in the enclosure or give your bird leftover rope as toys
- Avoid giving large birds small toys or items that may present a choking hazard due to size differences
- Be sure to always supervise your birds when introducing new items
